Bethany Artiss (b. 2000, London, United Kingdom) is a multidisciplinary artist dissecting the raw emotional undercurrants of human nature, isolation and exploring the vast unknown beyond. Working primarily with oil and canvas, Artiss often experiments with other mediums such as watercolour, gouache, acrylic, charcoal and graphite.

Artiss’s work is drawn from the raw, unsettling and unvarnished edges of life. A lot of which stems from Artiss’s nightmares or her inner-child's mind and childhood night terrors. Artiss is also fascinated by other life forms and pulls a lot of inspiration from what isn’t fully understood: aliens, monsters, distorted anatomy and life beyond reality.

Artiss has been creating and telling stories since her early stages of life whether that be on canvas or through film, working in the entertainment industry as an actress, writer and singer. Artiss’s work always begins internally—pulling apart the psyche until something buried deep claws its way to the surface demanding to be brought to life on canvas or through music and film.
